On Saturday I took my brother and my two nieces to the Giants game to reinforce the fact that I am the greatest Uncle in the land...
This is my niece Kaley( turns 5 next month) on the right, and a young Korean child named Annyong(9 years) who we brought along. He had this peculuar way of repeating his own name whenever he was called by it.
This is my other niece Lindsey, she hates having her picture taken...
We drove to the Milbrae Train station which is where the real adventure began. Keeping three kids from crossing the yellow line is not as easy as it sounds...
Once we got to the game we feasted on hot dogs, cokes, nachos, garlic fries, and hot fudge sundaes. It was nothing short of amazing to see so much food being inhaled by these little animals. I loved every minute of it.
STOP TAKING MY PICTURE UNCLE CHRIS!!!!!!
Later on we went down to the kids field to let Kaley play...
The train ride home was made especially fun by their insistence of rubbing their faces on the filthiest surfaces imaginable...
By the time I got home I was absolutely exhausted. Showing these kids a good time was a lot of fun for me but it was a ton of work as well. It also gave me a much better appreciation for what my brother and his wife go through everyday. Parenthood isn't easy, especially when it's regarding these two monkeys. Can't wait to do it again next year, but thank GOD it's a year from now.....
Because even a broken clock is right twice a day...

"Hey, wanna go for a ride with me?"
A word to the wise. Should anyone from the Ironteam ask you a seemingly simple question like "hey, wanna go for a ride with me?" I advise you ask a question or two such as "where would you like to go?" or "are there any hills where we are going?" The following is a picture of Amy and I when we were still friends. If you would like to see another, go here.
Approximately 20 minutes later we were on our bikes going down Canada Road heading towards Old La Honda Road, the notorious winding 3.5 mile climb to the top where I nearly had a hemorrhage.
Damn you, Dr. Chang!!!!!

The Greatest and Best Baseball Promo Ever
Last Wednesday I went to Jewish Heritage night at the Giants game with my friend Grace Huang. Neither of us are Jewish, but we know a great bobble head when we see one, and this one is the cat's ass... Check it out!!!
It's the Rally Rabbi!!!! His head and beard bobble, he has the interlocking SF on his black hat, and he is playing some kind of horn or flute (please excuse my ignorance, I'm Catholic) With a ball at his feet and the number 18 on his back (???) he is resplendent in a smart black suit...
I thought about raffling him off as a fundraiser, but I can't, he's a keeper. He now adorns my desk along with Giants Bobble head, Abe Lincoln, and George Washington Bobble heads!!!

What do you say we spice this life up a bit....
"You only ever grow as a human being if you're outside your comfort zone."
- Percy Cerutty
"It seems to me that people have vast potential. Most people can do extraordinary things if they have the confidence or take the risks. Yet most people don't. They sit in front of the TV and treat life as if it goes on forever."
-Philip Adams
"If God wanted man to play Soccer, he wouldn't have given us arms."
-Mike Ditka
So as most of you you know by now, I recently joined the Team in Training Ironteam. I don't swim very well, and I just received a loaner bike from a friend for the time being. But I can run like a motherfucker so for some reason I think I can do this. I am actually quite lucky to have so many friends who do swim and have offered to teach me. And just as many if not more that want to ride with me and give me advice on how to get my own bike when the time comes. The Ironteam staff comes highly recommended as well so I know that in a year from now I will be more than ready. I am excited about this for a number of reasons but it's mainly about my Uncle Mike who I am doing this for. Mike is really sick right now and it doesn't look like he will live long enough to see the day where I can tell him about the event itself. I can only hope that in some way this might ease his pain a bit and make his life a bit more bearable. And when I am training and those days get longer and harder with each passing week, I can think about him and what he went through to get me through those workouts which as hard as they might be, pale in comparison to what he is going through right now.
So, for those of you who were frustrated with my lack of posting lately, I apologize and will pay you back many times over as this training season will definitely have plenty of "post" worthy happenings, stories, and accomplishments. You can also chart my progress from my fundraising page.
Check it out!!!
